MCE - Mandatory Continuing Education Courses |
|
| |
After a licensee has satisfied the core/related education requirement, the Commission requires Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) to renew licensure privileges. In traditional classroom MCE courses, an exam is not required. However prompt and complete attendance of the scheduled class time is mandated and make-up of the class time is not allowed by TREC. A licensee is required to submit the renewal fee documents to TREC immediately upon conclusion of the course. To insure the the proper license information is faxed by the provider, bring your real estate license pocket identification to class.

Classroom: The traditional classroom format course is the most user friendly method for course presentation. The classroom format is particularly advantageous to students who have been out of school for 10 years or more, as well as students who like the opportunity to interact with instructors and other students. Our instructors are experienced educators and real estate practitioners. They are very knowledgeable about licensing exam questions and are dedicated to teaching that information in class.s.

Online Courses: The ideal candidates for online courses are busy self-starters who want to study at their own pace and not travel to a classroom setting. When it is convenient for you and your schedule, you read the course content on your computer, answer end of chapter quiz questions and complete the final exam online.

Correspondence Courses: Correspondence courses are another alternative for the student who is a self-starter and may not have good internet service available as well as the student who prefers to read from a text book. Individual assignments are completed throughout the course, at the student’s individual convenience. The final exam must be proctored by an authorized official such as a librarian or school administrator.
