USPAP Update for Real Estate Appraisers

The Purvis Real Estate Training Institute USPAP Update for Real Estate Appraisers The 7-hour course is certified by the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) and the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB). Examine the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), as revised by the Appraisal Standards Board for 2006.

Instructor Glenn Garoon is an appraiser in the Litigation section of Tarrant Appraisal District, and worked 20 years as a self-employed independent fee appraiser and market analyst performing appraisals, feasibility and market studies, and business problem solutions. Mr. Garoon is an MAI member of the Appraisal Institute, a member of the CCIM Institute, a (general) certified appraiser, and licensed real estate broker. He currently serves as president of Foundation Appraisers Coalition of Texas (FACT) and member of the Government Relations Committee, and has served as past director, officer, and president of the Central Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. For 12 years, he was adjunct professor of real estate at the University of Texas at Arlington, and holds BA and MBA degrees.

Enrollment is limited to licensed appraisers only, which means streamlined instruction without disruption by individuals who are new to the industry and not yet licensed.

Our one-day courses are conveniently scheduled. Classroom hours are from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Prepaid Tuition is $150. To qualify for the prepaid tuition price, your payment must be received in our office or by online registration through our web site at least one business day in advance (by 5:00 pm). Tuition is $195 if your payment is received anytime after the 5:00 pm deadline. If you plan to register on Friday morning, please arrive by 8:45 am to enroll and pay tuition before class begins.
