Broker Licensing Courses |

A broker’s license has several requirements: |
- You must maintain an active salesperson’s license for a minimum of 24 months before you may apply for your broker’s license.
- The education requirement is 900 classroom hours, of which 270 hours must be in core real estate subjects and the remaining 630 hours may be in core or related subjects.
- If you have college credits, you should have TREC complete a new education evaluation because a wider variety of college courses will apply for a broker’s license than will apply for a salesperson’s license.
- All of the real estate courses you completed for pre-licensing and continuing education will apply towards the broker’s license education requirement. Also, you should aware that the credit hours for core real estate course work you have taken are always good and will apply towards getting a broker’s license five or ten years from now.
- You may start taking the courses needed for your broker’s license while you maintain your salesperson’s license. We offer special discounts for students who are working on hours for a broker’s license. Contact one of the friendly, helpful professionals at Purvis RETI for pricing. Our toll free phone number is

Classroom hours: 8:30 am- 6:30 pm. The traditional classroom format course is the most user friendly method for course presentation. The classroom format is particularly advantageous to students who have been out of school for 10 years or more, as well as students who like the opportunity to interact with instructors and other students. Our instructors are experienced educators and real estate practitioners. They are very knowledgeable about licensing exam questions and are dedicated to teaching that information in class.

Online Courses: The ideal candidates for online courses are busy self-starters who want to study at their own pace and not travel to a classroom setting. When it is convenient for you and your schedule, you read the course content on your computer, answer end of chapter quiz questions and complete the final exam online.

|
Correspondence Courses: Correspondence courses are another alternative for the student who is a self-starter and may not have good internet service available as well as the student who prefers to read from a text book. Individual assignments are completed throughout the course, at the student’s individual convenience. The final exam must be proctored by an authorized official such as a librarian or school administrator.
